OnePlus Nord 2 5G phone exploded in lawyer’s coat: Plans to file petition to ban the sale

Gadget 360 has reported that OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone has been exploded in an lawyer’s pocket in Bangalore. Similar incident had happened earlier this month for which the company issued a statement that the incident was caused by external factors.

This incident occurred in the court.  The victim Gaurav Gulati shared this incident through a tweet. He shared pictures with the tweet. He claimed that the mobile was in his pocket at the time of the incident.  He felt heat inside his pocket and saw smoke coming out the smartphone. He also reported about the blast. He said he was not charging at the time of the incident.

According to reports, OnePlus contact Gaurav and asked him deposit his mobile phone he refused to do so. He said he planned to take legal against the company. He made know his intention in his tweet that he would lodge and FIR and file a petition to ban the sale of Nord 2.

Gadgets 360 contacted the company and asked their statement on the incident. The company informed that the person refused to hand over the device for testing. 

The company said (translated) “Yesterday evening, a person notified us on Twitter about an alleged explosion case for the OnePlus Nord 2, and our team immediately contacted this person to verify the validity of the claim. We take every such claim very seriously for the safety of the user. However, despite several attempts to test the device, including going to the person’s premises and checking it in the person’s presence, they have so far we have been denied an opportunity to conduct a proper investigation. In such circumstances, it is impossible for us to verify the validity of this claim or to satisfy the individual’s demands for compensation.”
