The study, by Tianjin Medical University, examined data from more than 365,000 UK biobanks, whose services were obtained from 2006 to 2010 and monitored by 2020.

These volunteers reported their own use of coffee and tea, and 5,079 people had dementia and 10,053 had at least one stroke during the research period.

Research has shown that a combination of 2 to 3 cups of coffee or 3 to 5 cups of tea or 4 to 6 cups of coffee and tea daily reduces the risk of stroke or dementia.

Research has shown that people who drink 2 to 3 cups of tea and 2 to 3 cups of coffee daily have a 32% lower risk of stroke and a 28% lower risk of dementia.

However, the research did not shed light on the cause.

The researchers said that the results suggest that moderate amounts of coffee and tea may reduce the risk of stroke and dementia.
