Hackers have stolen 114 million user data from a popular online service. They stole data including their email addresses. Hackers have published the data in the Darknet.

“HaveIBeenPwned” has reported that the Gravatar service has been badly affected by this hacking. I would like to tell my blog readers that experts had found and warned in the beginning of October that platform’s user data can be hacked by certain programs.
Data leak at Gravatar: are you affected by this?
Hackers could also have stolen your data from Gravatar.
Gravatar is a web service that unifies online avatars via various platforms. This is intended to reduce the work of the upload on the individual sites. In addition, users are always to be recognized on all platforms. For this purpose, social media channels or other profile information via the profile image are provided.
You have use the website “HaveIBeenPwnedYou” to check if your data were part of the hack.
If that is the case, you must immediately change your password at Gravatar. If you also use the mail address or password on other platforms, you must also change it. In doing so, a Password managers are helpful, in which you only have to remember a password.
