The Realme 9 Pro+ will be launched soon. Even before the presentation, Realme boss Madhav Sheth has now revealed an interesting equipment detail for the upcoming China cell phone. The Realme smartphone should be something for the heart – in the truest sense of the word.
Realme’s business is doing well. Reports say that it has doubled its market share in Europe in 2021.
Some people will laugh at the 2% share of the market, but this figure tells us real success in the market. It is predicted that Realme 9 Pro+ could boost sales even further. Realme 9 Pro+ has an in-display heart rate monitor
A heart rate monitor is integrated in the Realme smartphone . With it, owners of the China mobile phone can measure their heart rate simply by putting their thumb on it. A video shared by Realme boss Madhav Sheth on Twitter shows how this works:

Realme has moved the heart rate monitor to the display of the Realme 9 Pro+ , at the level of the in-display fingerprint sensor. It is quite possible that biometric verification and heart rate measurement will be carried out by one and the same sensor.
Smartphones with built-in heart rate monitors are nothing new, but this feature has lost popularity in recent years due to the proliferation of smartwatches and fitness trackers .
Samsung in particular has relied on the function in the past. Samsung last installed a heart rate monitor in the Galaxy Note 9 in 2018. In contrast to the Realme 9 Pro+, it was integrated in the fingerprint sensor on the back , and the South Koreans never made it possible to measure the heart rate via an in-display fingerprint sensor on the front in their smartphones.
Realme 9 Pro+ becomes the first smartphone in Europe with Dimensity 920
The Realme 9 Pro+ could also be interesting apart from the heart rate monitor on the display. For example, MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 is said to be installed in the China cell phone – a premiere for Europe (source: GSMarena ). Older rumors speak, among other things, of a 90 Hz display and a 4,500 mAh battery with a quick charge function. If the price is attractive, Xiaomi’s Poco series in particular can expect tough competition. The Realme 9 Pro+ is scheduled to be unveiled on February 15, when the final secrets will be revealed.
