The new Redmi K50 series has recently attracted a lot of attention. The devices are intriguing with a good value for money, which is confirmed by the current leaks. Today, the official premiere of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, a device intended for gaming enthusiasts, took place. It is the successor of the Redmi K40 GE, which took a significant position in the market last year. The first Xiaomi smartphone signed with the Mercedes logo will also appear there.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal memory. Everything will work on the basis of MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12. Efficient operation even under heavy load is ensured by an additional cooling system consisting of a double steam chamber. If it turns out to be insufficient, we can buy a case with an additional fan.
Redmi K50 GE received a large AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, FullHd + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. For safety, the display is covered with an additional Gorilla Glass Victus glass. To increase the fun of the game, the device is equipped with JBL speakers, a special vibration motor and four additional buttons on the side of the housing.
As befits a gaming smartphone, the new Redmi does not have a top camera. On the front, in a round hole at the top of the screen, there is a selfie camera with a resolution of 20 Mpix. On the back there are three cameras – the main 64 Mpix, ultra-wide 8 Mpix and 2 Mpix macro photos. Although there is no comparison to, for example, Samsung’s flagships, it is a very decent set.
The device is powered by a 4700 mAh battery, which we can fully charge in 17 minutes using a 120W quick charge. In addition, the smartphone received a 5G, NFC and WIFI 6.2 modem, which is standard in devices from the top price range.
