A new study say that vegetables cannot protect you from heart disease This study has been strongly criticized by critics.
According to CNN, an analysis of the diets of about 400,000 British adults found that raw vegetables may benefit the heart to some extent, but not cooked vegetables at all.
Researchers also say that raw vegetables can be unhealthy for the heart when these factors play a role in a person’s lifestyle who do not exercise, smoke, drink alcohol, consume more red meat and use vitamin and mineral supplements.
“Our recent study found no evidence that vegetables play a significant role in fighting heart disease,” Qi Feng, an epidemiologist at the University of Oxford’s Nofield Department of Population Health, told CNN. ”
The study was published Monday in the Journal Frontiers in Nutrition. It challenges previous research, which claims that vegetables are good for the heart and overall health. The study also found that young people could use vegetables, fruits, pulses, etc. to extend their life by up to 13 years
