The 79th Formation Commander Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to ISPR, the participants were briefed on professional matters and national security challenges faced by the country. They were also briefed on professional challenges to national security and measures to be taken to deal with traditional and non-traditional threats.
The conference took note of the recent propaganda campaign to discredit the Pakistan Army, which is meant to create division between the institution and the people. It was also discussed how to stop this hate campaign.
The formation commanders said that they have traced the propagandists. They said that no matter what happens, the army will never compromise on national security.
According to ISPR, the conference reaffirmed the commitment of the Pakistan Army to stand by the state institutions for the protection of the homeland.
Participants in the formation commanders expressed full confidence in the military leadership’s decision to uphold the constitution and the rule of law at all costs.
Briefing the participants at the end of the conference, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan Army is aware of its responsibilities and should continue to defend Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty against all kinds of internal and external threats.
The Army Chief further said that Pakistan’s national security is sacred, the Pakistan Army will always stand by the state institutions for its protection without any compromise and will uphold the rule of law at all costs.
