Apple Watch to measure blood pressure, temperature and blood glucose: what’s new with watchOS 9?

watchOS 9 , the new version of the Apple Watch operating system, will make its debut during WWDC 2022 scheduled for June 6. The news awaited for this update are many, but together with some surprises, there is also the disappointment for all those functions that were expected to be found and for which instead we will have to wait a few more years.

The first function we won’t find is the one related to blood pressure monitoring. In fact, it seems that Apple has encountered some obstacles in the development and implementation of this technology, which according to reliable sources will not arrive before 2024.

Finally, a restyling of many of the watchOS 8 dials is planned, designed to optimize the use of space by adding more complications, and a generic improvement of the user experience when the watch is in Power Reserve mode ( low consumption). This mode allows the user to save battery by turning off all functions except the timekeeping, while the new mode is expected to include a more extensive suite of apps and functionality.
