What to look for when purchasing.
If you are buying a box of dates, preservatives should be listed on the label. If you like it, choose soft but dry, undamaged fruit. It should have a yellowish-brown color, natural radiance, and a pleasant odor. Dried, formally cooked dried dates are unfit for human consumption. Bacteria easily settle on the date palm, so it can not stay in the air for long.

What does a date contain?
Rich in iron, magnesium, phosphorus, mineral salts, B vitamins, carotene and even essential amino acids. It also contains a small amount of fluoride, which protects teeth from damage, and selenium, which strengthens the immune system and reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
Scientists believe that 10 pieces of dried dates a day completely meet the body’s need for magnesium, copper, and sulfur, half – iron and 25% – calcium. Dates strengthen the body, increase energy, and promote growth and development.
