A meeting of the National Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister in which the committee said that no evidence of foreign conspiracy against the previous government was found.
According to the statement, the committee, after reviewing the communication materials and the findings presented by the security agencies, concluded that there was no foreign conspiracy.
Meanwhile, the National Security Committee reiterated the decisions taken at its last meeting and ratified the decisions of the previous meeting of the committee.
This is the second time in as many months that the NSC has held a meeting to review the contents of the cable sent by Mr. Majeed.
This is serious news. It gives the impression that the former Prime Minister put his country at risk for his political gain.
This should be investigated and the findings should be brought to the Pakistani people. However, leaders of both PPP and PMLN were saying that this letter is fabricated. Now the press release after the NSC proved them liers.
“Bilawal and Maryam were saying that this document was fabricated, not based on facts and drafted in the Foreign Office. Today, the NSC endorsed the document after receiving a briefing from the former envoy which proves that it was based on facts and was correct.”
