A few days ago, we learned about the details of the $800 million package of weapons the United States wants to hand over to Ukraine. It will include a brand new Phoenix Ghost tactical drone, designed specifically for Ukraine by the United States Air Force.
The U.S. will certainly provide Ukraine with over 121 Phoenix Ghost tactical unmanned aerial systems manufactured by AEVEX Aerospace.
It was officially announced by the Pentagon, while an official of the Department of Defense revealed that the new drone “was quickly developed by the Air Force in response to Ukraine’s requests.
These words were later corrected by the Pentagon press secretary, who said the drone was built before Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
It is said that this drone was developed in consideration of the requirements that correspond very precisely to what the Ukrainians now need in the Donbass.
There is no question that this is an example of a kamikaze drone attack directly hitting the target.
We know that this new system will require minimal training for Ukrainian operators already familiar with Switchblade or other unmanned aerial vehicles.
