Men are more likely to have baldness than women and now a major reason has emerged.


If you like to drink sweetened beverages like soda, this habit can cause baldness by losing hair.

This was revealed in a medical study conducted in China.

Some common causes of baldness

Research from the University of Tsinghua showed that men who drank high amounts of sugary drinks had a higher risk of baldness.

The study looked at data from more than 1,000 men aged 18 to 45 and compared hair loss and lifestyle habits.

The study found that people who drank a soda, juice, energy drink or any sweet drink daily increased the risk of hair loss by 30 percent.

Similarly, the risk of baldness increases by 42 percent in people who drink more than one drink per day.

But the researchers said that sweet drinks not only cause hair loss, but overall health, stress, mental health and diet also play a role in this regard.

 He said that the research also revealed that people who lost hair used fried foods more while staying away from vegetables.

A history of anxiety or an illness can also increase the risk of baldness, he said.

 He said that more research is needed to fully confirm the link between consumption of sugary drinks and baldness.

 But he suggested that consuming these sweet drinks at least is beneficial for health.

 Earlier, research reports had reported that excessive consumption of soda and other sweetened beverages increases the risk of liver disease, diabetes and many other diseases.
