Diabetes accelerates aging by 26% and memory loss: research says

.Diabetes not only accelerates aging and brain aging, according to a research Published in the Journal called E-Life.

Experts believe that type 2 diabetes can increase the rate of aging by 26% or accelerate the process.

Our brains are endowed with extraordinary abilities, such as practical memory, learning, learning, self-control, and flexible thinking. All of these functions decline with age, but patients with diabetes experience a 7 to 13 percent reduction in brain processing and other issues. Another implication is that
type 2 diabetes can lead to a variety of brain disorders.

Specialists then took brain MRI scans of healthy people and people with diabetes and considered them. The brain was found to have a 13 percent lower incidence of brain-related gray matter in patients with diabetes than others. In this study, the ages of both healthy and sick people were the same.

Thus, there is a clear link between neurodegeneration and type 2 diabetes. Then the older the patient, the greater the effect. Overall, diabetes accelerates brain aging by 26%.

The study was conducted by Dr. Lillian Mojica Parody of Stony Brook University and her colleagues.

“Diabetes causes physical and structural damage to the brain,” she said. Earlier investigations proved the same thing and now more evidence has been found.

Experts have announced that they will consider further biomarkers in the next phase, adding that treatment modalities will have to be devised in this regard.
