You can adapt the recipe for cabbage soup for weight loss to your liking . In the basic recipe, the main ingredients are, apart from fresh cabbage: onion, celery, tomatoes. You can also add parsley, carrot, celery root to the cabbage soup for slimming. The taste of cabbage soup will be enhanced by sauerkraut juice and sauerkraut itself.


  • large  head of cabbage  (Italian, white or Chinese),
  • 6 medium onions with chives,
  • 4 stalks of celery,
  • 2 peppers,
  • 6-10 fresh tomatoes (when in season) or 2 cans of whole tomatoes,
  • any herbs (do not add salt).

A method of preparing:

  1. Cut the washed vegetables into cubes, shred the cabbage .
  2. Scald the tomatoes in boiling water beforehand to remove the skins.
  3. Pour all vegetables in a pot with about 3 liters of water and bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer for about 30 minutes , stirring occasionally.
  5. Season with your favorite herbs, e.g. allspice, pepper, curry, paprika – just the way you like it!
  6. You can eat the soup hot, blend it or eat it cold .
