Huawei FreeBuds 4i: the best affordable wireless headphones

The Huawei FreeBuds 4i are headphones offers excellent audio quality as well as their noise reduction.

We all know that Huawei is making great efforts to stay in the smartphone market. The company is offering great products to attract consumers. FreeBuds 4i is one their attractive product which effect reduces surrounding sound. The good thing is that company is offering such products at a reasonable price. Their good product and low price has made them interesting headphones in this price bracker.

Huawei offers headphones with passive isolation coupled with active noise reduction in Freebuds 4i.
This technology allows you to enjoy crystal clear sound, even in a noisy environment.

The presence of two microphones, which act to reduce ambient noise, up to 22 dB according to the brand.

The active noise reduction is indeed felt and allows you to isolate yourself in part. However, do not expect noise reduction worthy of the best headphones on the market like AirPods Pro or the Sony WF-1000XM4.

But we will have to take into consideration that Huawei is offering this function at an affordable price.

A Perception mode is included it helps you hear what’s going on around you without having to take off your headphones – practical in certain situations such as crossing a pedestrian crossing or listening to an announcement at the station.

On the audio side, Huawei’s headphones offer a warm and balanced sound reproduction, broadcast thanks to the speakers – or transducers – 10 mm in diameter in each of the two headphones. In addition, true wireless headphones are well compatible with the classic codecs such as Bluetooth SBC and AAC , but we will not be able to find aptX or LDAC. For this price range, they have the merit of being quite precise and efficient, especially in vocals or treble.

Pleasant to wear and surprisingly durable
In addition to offering a rather warm sound, the FreeBuds 4i are comfortable once in the ear canal. With their in-ear format, they will adapt perfectly to the shape of your ear thanks to the various silicone tips provided.

They will be able to be forgotten during long listening sessions. They are also equipped with capacitive sensors for simplified and intuitive touch control. For the case that houses the earphones, it will slip easily into your pocket, as it retains the same oval pebble shape as the FreeBuds Pro.

Finally, the headphones are very durable. The Chinese manufacturer promises a usage time of 10 hours without noise reduction activated, and 7.5 hours with it. We especially appreciate their ability to recharge quickly, because 25 minutes are enough to recharge them 100% once placed in their case. Moreover, the latter will lose a large part of its battery after this recharge, so you should not rely too

Huawei ready to launch its operating system globally

Huawei’s smartphones sales have been badly affected by the US sanctions.  The sanction shrunk the company’s market share in smartphones.

The main reason for this dwindling market share is the company is not able to Google services and apps. The company was forced to use the open-source Android system for its smartphones.

That’s why Huawei has been offering smartphones running the Harmony OS operating system in China since 2021 to compete with Android.

Now the Chinese company has decided to launch phones equipped with Harmony OS globally.

According to the company, as of December 2, 2021, Harmony OS has been updated in 2135 Huawei and Honor devices.

In a recent interview, Derek Yu, head of Huawei’s Consumer Business, said that the company’s Harmony OS operating system will be available to global consumers in 2022.

This is the first time a senior Huawei official has talked about introducing Harmony OS globally.

The company has now upgraded its Android-based EMUI 12 system to its smartphone users outside of China.

According to Derek U, the overall performance of the devices will be improved by 10% with the transfer of Harmony OS from the Android operating system.

It is worth noting that Harmony OS 3.0 is already under construction, with a beta version expected to be released in the first quarter of next year.

The Huawei official did not give a specific date or month for the global availability of Harmony OS.

Huawei officially launched the Harmony OS system on June 2 and now has more than 150 million users in China, and the company expects that number to reach 300 million by the end of the year.
