Strong smartwatch at a bargain price: The Huawei Watch 3 Active can do that

With the Watch 3, Huawei has launched a really good smartwatch that scores in almost all categories in the test.

The Huawei Watch 3 is packed with everything that can fit into such a small smartwatch. The watch offers GPS, Bluetooth, WLAN and LTE (eSIM), among other things. 

In addition to the obligatory pedometer, the sensors include a position, acceleration and brightness sensor, a heart rate monitor, ECG, a measurement of oxygen saturation and even a fall detection. Of course, the smartwatch is also waterproof.

Technically, there is nothing wrong with the watch. However, the smartwatch has one drawback: since there is no connection to the Google Play Store, the selection of apps is very limited. If that doesn’t bother you, you’ll get a very good watch at a fair price.

Galaxy Watch 3 or Watch 3 Pro?



Technically, the watches are almost identical. However, the Pro model is a corner larger and thus also offers a more powerful battery. In addition, titanium is used for the case, while stainless steel is used in the standard model.

Unfortunately, the absence of Google services also causes some limitations. NFC is therefore not usable outside of China and you will look in vain for Google Maps or even Spotify. But at least some of the annoyances can be avoided with a paired smartphone


The Huawei Watch 3 offers pretty much everything that currently fits in a smartwatch. Included are GPS, LTE, WLAN, an altitude sensor, a heart rate monitor and even a fall detection. What you have to do without, however, is a connection to the Google Play Store – the app selection is therefore limited

Apple Watch Series 7 launched with big display and battery


Apple Watch Series 7 comes with a number of upgrades compared to last year’s Apple Watch Series 6. The most prominent feature is that the watch has been redesigned.

The new Apple Watch model is the eighth edition of the Cupertino giant’s smartwatch series, which debuted in 2015.

The watch has 1.7mm thin boards, so as to provide maximum display area. Apart from the new design, the Apple Watch Series 7 has the largest display, which comes in 45mm size variants. This watch also comes in 41mm option. Apple claims that using the new design, the Apple Watch Series 7 offers 20 percent more screen area than the Apple Watch Series 6. At the same time, it is 50 percent more than the entry-level Series 3 model.
 
The Apple Watch Series 7 GPS is priced at $399  in the US, while the Apple Watch Series 7 GPS + Cellular option costs $499 . It comes in five new aluminum case color options, including Midnight, Starlight, Green, New Blue and Red.

The 40mm and 44mm models were introduced in the Apple Watch Series 6, while as an upgrade, you will get 41mm and 45mm case options in the Apple Watch Series 7. Apple has given an Always-on Retina display in it, which was also present in the old models. However, some improvements have been made to the display, which is claimed to provide 70 percent brighter results than the Apple Watch Series 6.

Apple has designed the display of the Apple Watch Series 7 with 20 percent more screen area and thinner borders of 1.7mm.

Talking about the key features of the Apple Watch product lineup, it has health and fitness features. However, the company has not made any special addition to the latest device, in which you get health and wellness tracker in general. The Apple Watch Series 7 also has a feature to track blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) using the built-in blood oxygen sensor. It also monitors your heart rate using an electrical heart rate sensor. In addition, this smartwatch also detects atrial fibrillation (AFib) and can provide an electrocardiogram (ECG) report.
 

Apple has provided watchOS 8 in this watch. This new operating system was introduced in June during WWDC 2021.

Apple Watch Series 7 is capable of providing enhanced slip tracking with features like sleeping respiration rate and sleep trends. Apart from this, you will get two unique watch faces in the new Apple Watch, they are Contour and Modular Duo.

With the larger display, the Apple Watch Series 7 offers a larger font size and a new QWERTY keyboard, which can be tapped or swiped with QuickPath.
 
Apple claims that the Apple Watch Series 7 can be used for up to 18 hours on a single charge. Apart from this, 33 percent fast charging is also available with the new Apple Watch.

This watch is IP6X-certified, which is dust-resistant. WR50 rating is given for water resistance. However, the new Apple Watch comes with a magnetic fast charger USB-C cable and support for all Apple Watch wristbands that were introduced with the earlier model

Well-known watch brand Fossil has launched the Fossil Gen 6 It is  an upgraded version of the Gen 5 smartwatch. The company has used Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor in this smartphone. This smartwatch monitors your heart rate 24-hours a day. Apart from this, the SpO2 sensor will be available in the latest watch. This sensor monitors the oxygen in the blood.



The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch comes with a round dial and a different design. Its starting price is $ 299.

The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch is capable of monitoring heart-rate and blood oxygen levels. This smartwatch has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels. This watch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor will have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Apart from this, the latest sensors like accelerometer, altimeter, ambient light, compass and gyroscope will be available in the smartwatch. This smartwatch works on Wear OS 2.

Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch works in water up to 50 meters. This smartwatch has a strong battery, which gives 24 hours of battery backup. Its battery charges up to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Along with this, features like call-message notifications have been provided in the smartwatch.


In addition to heart rate monitor this smartwatch comes with  accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter and ambient light sensor. This smartwatch works on Google Wear OS. Being based on this operating system, many preloaded apps have also been given in it.

Google has finally launched the long-awaited YouTube Music Wear OS app. This app will work on either of Samsung’s two new smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Users can listen to the songs of their choice through the watch. You will not even need internet for this.

According to a report by 9to5Google, the YouTube Music Wear OS app does not have the facility to stream music. It appears that users can only download songs. Currently, this app is available for select users. Hopefully this app will be released soon for other devices in the coming days. At present, not much information has been given by Google about this app yet.



This amazing feature is going to be added to YouTube

Google is about to add an amazing feature to its YouTube, which is named PiP i.e. Picture in Picture. This feature will be released for iOS users. Under this, users will be able to watch videos while using other apps on mobile. For your information, let us tell you that this feature is currently available only for premium users. Now it is being rolled out for trial.


Feature to be turned on manually

The Motorola Edge (2021) has been launched in the US on August 23, 2021.In terms of design, this phone is similar to the recently introduced Edge 20, but the bezel at the bottom of this new phone is quite prominent.

The Motorola Edge has a 6.8-inch Full HD Plus display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, while the 32-megapixel selfie camera is hidden in a punch-hole design.

The phone comes with 6 to 8 GB RAM and 128 to 256 GB storage options which can be further expanded with an SD card.

The Motorola Edge (2021) is a phone equipped with a Snapdragon 778G processor with a Motorola Ready software platform for computer interaction with the Android 11 operating system.

The battery of the phone is 5000 mAh with 30 watt fast charging support.

The Motorola Edge has a set of 3 cameras on the back.

The phone has a 108-megapixel main camera with 8-megapixel Ultra Wide and 2-megapixel depth sensor cameras.

Consumers will have to spend 700 700 (over PKR 115,000) to buy a phone.

This new phone is better than last year’s Edge model which was given Snapdragon 765, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

Sony has quietly introduced the lite version of the Xperia 10 III (Three) smartphone.

The Sony Xperia 10 3D Lite has a 6-inch OLED display.

The phone has a Snapdragon 690 processor and a 4500 mAh battery with 30 watts fast charging support.

This midrange phone has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage which can be further expanded with SD card.

Xperia 10 3 Lite has single SIM support but e-SIM facility has also been provided while the headphone jack has also been given.

The back camera setup of the phone consists of 3 cameras including 12 megapixel main, 8 megapixel telephoto and 8 megapixel ultra wide camera.An 8-megapixel camera on the front is provided for selfies.
And yes, like most Sony phones, this new phone is water and dust resistant.

The company has not yet announced its availability outside of Japan.

The Xperia 10 3 Lite is priced at 42 425 (approximately PKR 70,000).

Huawei’s New Smart Watch GT Pro ECG and Band 6 Pro

Huawei has also introduced 2 wearable devices Watch GT Pro ECG and Band 6 Pro with the Huawei P50 series.

The Watch GT Pro ECG can give us electrocardiogram readings and the Band 6 Pro can tell us body temperature. 

The Watch GT ECG Pro is similar to the Watch GT Pro which was introduced last year.

The smartwatch has a 1.339-inch AMOLED display and a titanium frame.

Users can track heart rate, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep and stress levels.

This smartwatch has Huawei Lite operating system while more than 100 workout modes are given in the watch. It is priced at 3,088 yuan (over 77,000 Pakistani rupees) and will be available to consumers from August 12.

In comparison, the Band 6 Pro has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, while the Watch GT2 Pro, like the ECG, can be used for heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress tracking.

In addition, the body temperature tracking feature is also part of the band, while 96 workout modes are part of the device.

According to the company, its battery life can last up to 2 weeks on moderate use.

The Band Pro 6 is priced at 499 yuan (over 11,000 Pakistani rupees) and will be available from August 20.
